Winemaker's Notes

Dunnsden Vineyard is located on Los Amigos Road in Healdsburg, California, not far from our Windacre Vineyard. Dunnsden Vineyard is a steep, gravelly hillside vineyard located in the famed Russian River Valley.

Only the top portion of this vineyard was used for this bottling. The top portion is very well drained. The soil is composed mostly of rough and gnarly rock. Steep hillside exposure allows for a long, hot growing season. Hand harvested, about 3-3½ tons per acre harvested.

Tasting Notes

Supple rich and concentrated with currant, black cherry and blackberry aromas. On the palate, a hint of black raspberry, bittersweet chocolate and nicely integrated oak. The finish is full of depth, light tannins and long lasting. Unfined and unfiltered.
