Gold Medal - Sonoma County Harvest Fair
Bacigalupi “Goddard Ranch” vineyard is located directly adjacent to the Russian River. In 1964, original Wente cuttings were used to develop this site, planted on red clay loam soil. Whole cluster pressed, barrel fermented at 45 - 50 with native yeast and surlie aged for 11 months.
Bright straw in color. Tropical nose of papaya, orange honeysuckle, butterscotch and spice. Silky texture with hints of stone fruit, honey and melon. A soft finish with graceful acidity.
